Join us for a fulfilling weekend sharing peace with animals through Japanese Reiki & Animal Reiki!
Japanese Reiki (Shoden) and Animal Reiki 1
with Kat Forgacs
Scarborough, ME (Portland area)
August 22-25 & Aug 27, 2019
(Daily hours listed below)
In this immersive course, we cover the essential foundations of traditional Japanese Reiki for mental-physical-spiritual wellbeing, and the practice of “offering” Reiki (often without touch) to all species of animals and their human companions, safely and respectfully.
This course is for all animal lovers, including those who are new to Reiki, as well as Reiki practitioners who want to add Animal Reiki techniques to their practice.
The training offers special appreciation rates for animal rescuers, veterans, first responders, and resitting students.
Please be in touch if you have any questions related to your circumstances.
Participants will learn how to help reduce the effects of stress for all kinds of creatures, with and without touch, using traditional Japanese Reiki meditations (such as Joshin Kokyu Ho, Seishin Toitsu) and the Let Animals Lead® method developed by Kathleen Prasad.
After the Shoden & Animal Reiki 1 course, you will have the essential skills and training to practice compassionate Reiki meditation for your own self-care and as a volunteer for all kinds of under-served animal populations, including rescue animals, wildlife, farm(ed) and working animals, companion animals, therapy animals, animals in captivity, and more!
This course is for you if:
❤️ You are excited about facilitating heartfelt spaces for wellbeing for loved ones and creatures of all varieties, including wildlife, rescue animals, foster animals, companion animals, service animals, working animals, and animals in captivity
💛 You are intrigued by the idea of creating peace and relaxation from within to support individuals and animals experiencing stress, illnesses, and nearing transition
💚 You want help in developing more focus, becoming more present, and easing suffering
💙 You are committed to a path of deepening integrity and personal wellbeing, and softening your relationship with yourself and the world
💜 You relish the path of personal improvement through gentleness, mindfulness, intentionality, self-responsibility, and enduring compassion towards self and others.
Instruction will take place at Solid Ground Equine Assisted Life Coaching in Scarborough, Maine (south of Portland). The training will begin with an introduction to Reiki on August 22-23 and continue with Animal Reiki training on August 24-25. Practice will be conducted on-site with resident life-coaching equines. The training will conclude with an additional day of guided Reiki practice sessions with rescue animals at Animal Refuge League in Westbrook on August 27.
Registration includes a followup private coaching session, which will be scheduled for each student after the course.
The Japanese Reiki and Animal Reiki 1 training on August 24-25 welcomes Reiki practitioners from all Reiki lineages, and will conclude with an afternoon of guided Reiki practice sessions with rescue animals at Animal Rescue League on August 27.
Those without prior Reiki training (or who would like to receive extra time for practice and review) can attend an introduction to Reiki on August 22-23. This part of the course especially welcomes animal rescuers, volunteers, first responders, and others who are on the “front lines” of caring for others, to help with maintaining personal wellbeing in high-stress environments.
